On May 13, the annual general meeting of the German-American Society Celle e. V. took place at the KulturTrif(f)t. Details can be found in the meeting minutes, but the following points are highlighted here:

Anniversary Year 2024

Last year, the DAG celebrated its 25th anniversary! The First Chairperson reported on the various activities of the DAG in this special year, which included not only the traditional American Day and Thanksgiving Dinner, but also exclusive events such as a guided tour of the Celle Bee Institute, a visit to the Rathsmühle, and participation in the Bürgerbrunch on the Stechbahn.

Just in time for the anniversary, the DAG launched its new website, successfully combining the traditional with the modern. A new information flyer is also available now.

Elections

Long-time Deputy Chairperson Linda Engelhardt did not run for re-election. The members sincerely thanked her for her dedicated service to the organization. At the same time, the society is delighted to report the election of Fabian Kühne as the new Deputy Chairperson of the DAG. He presented several of his ideas for the further development of the society.

Linda Engelhardt was elected as the new Secretary of the society. Additionally, Peter Holm was elected as the second auditor.
