On October 17, 2024, the German-American Society visited the Institute for Apiculture (otherwise known as the “Bee Institute”) in the French Gardens, Celle. Dr. Werner von der Ohe delivered an engaging lecture on beekeeping in Germany, the USA, and around the world. Following this, the current head of the Bee Institute, Dr. Gertje Petersen, gave a guided tour of the institute, offering fascinating insights into its current operations.

It was an enjoyable event for everyone, filled with plenty of new information.
